These dogs' stories are examples of Roxie's Fund total commitment. It illustrates how we provide for each and every dog in our rescue program. The recovery road is often filled with obstacles, both physical, emotional and monetary. Some of these beautiful dogs will be available for adoption after some love and rehabilitation.

Urgent- Jasper needs your help!

Hi, I'm Jasper. I'm about 5 months old and SO glad my friends at Roxie's Fund opened their hearts to me! Maybe you will too. I go to the vet EVERY WEEK because I am being treated for an advanced case of what's called demodetic mange. This skin problem is completely curable if someone is willing to give me the extra time and treatment I need instead of just writing me off since I look funny. I was sitting at the shelter, and of course, no one would play with me, because of the way I looked, as you can see from my "before" pictures. They tell me that my dog and people friends can't catch it, but it sure did itch and irritate me.

I need to go to school to learn how to be a well-behaved boy, since nobody ever taught me how before. I try my best but sometimes I don't know what is expected of me. I promise once I know the rules, I'll behave like a little angel!

My foster mom thinks I got sick because I was being mistreated then I was dumped at the University of Maryland, where I was found running loose.

No one wanted to adopt me from the Shelter because, even though I was sweet, I looked SO awful. I bled on my foster mom the first time I met her!

People keep saying they've never seen a "pink" dog before - It's my skin! The worse it got, the less chance I had to find a home. I wasn't doing well at all at the shelter, and my condition continued to get worse and worse. Then my Roxie's Fund friends said they'd make sure I got my medical treatment if they could find a foster home. My foster mom says she took me in because I looked so lonely and she didn't think anyone else would take me. She was going to take in a Katrina dog, but I needed her just as much. Thank God for my foster mommy !!! She saved my life.

I've been treated by the vet and loved by my foster family since September 10. My infections are clearing up nicely, and my fur is starting to grow back, plus I have more energy. I'm house-trained now and starting to understand that when I sit, I get the love I needed all along. Trouble is, I never learned how to play nice with my dog friends. I really am just trying to play, but sometimes I get too rough.

My foster mommy will be working with a trainer the rescue group arranged for me, and "very" soon, I will be good as new.

I would love to have some sponsors to help with my medical treatment as well as my professional training.

Please, help my wonderful rescue family to help me with a kind contribution towards my recovery.
